TERMS OF SERVICE

The rules for
using ShareDrop.

These Terms explain the basic rules, responsibilities, and limitations that apply when you use ShareDrop.

Last updated: August 30, 2026

Please read these terms carefully.

By using ShareDrop, you agree to follow these Terms of Service. Do not use the service if you do not agree with them.

01

Using ShareDrop

ShareDrop allows users to establish temporary transfer sessions and send files directly between connected devices.

You are responsible for using ShareDrop in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

You must not use ShareDrop to distribute content that is illegal, unauthorized, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful to others.

02

Your Files and Content

You retain ownership of the files and content you choose to transfer through ShareDrop.

You are solely responsible for having the necessary rights and permissions to share those files.

ShareDrop does not grant you any ownership rights over content transferred by other users.

03

Prohibited Use

You may not use ShareDrop to distribute malware, ransomware, malicious code, stolen data, or content that violates another person’s rights.

You may not attempt to interfere with the service, bypass security controls, gain unauthorized access, or abuse session infrastructure.

You may not use ShareDrop for activity that could reasonably harm the service or its users.

04

Temporary Transfers

ShareDrop is designed for temporary file transfers and is not intended to be a permanent file-storage service.

Transfer availability may depend on browser capabilities, network conditions, WebRTC connectivity, and service availability.

We do not guarantee that every transfer will succeed or that a session will remain available indefinitely.

05

Service Availability

ShareDrop is provided on an availability basis and may be changed, interrupted, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

We may perform maintenance, security updates, or other changes that temporarily affect the service.

We are not responsible for interruptions caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

06

Security

You are responsible for keeping your devices, browsers, and shared session information secure.

Do not share a session link or access code with people you do not intend to give access to.

While ShareDrop uses security mechanisms such as WebRTC and encrypted connections, no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

07

Abuse and Enforcement

We may investigate reports of misuse and take reasonable action to protect the service and its users.

This may include restricting access to a session, disabling access, or taking other appropriate measures.

We may cooperate with valid legal requests where required by applicable law.

08

Third-Party Services

ShareDrop may rely on third-party infrastructure, hosting providers, networking services, or software libraries to operate.

Those third parties may have their own terms and privacy practices.

Your use of ShareDrop may therefore also be subject to applicable third-party terms.

09

Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ShareDrop is provided without guarantees that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every particular use case.

You use the service at your own discretion and should maintain your own backups of important files.

10

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ShareDrop and its operators will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from use of the service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would not be permitted by applicable law.

11

Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated as ShareDrop evolves or as legal and operational requirements change.

When changes are made, the updated version will be published on this page.
